Cable Off Road Classic

Malenkovich and Leibke made the trip up to northwest Wisconsin to take on the 27-Mile Cable Off Road Classic under cold but sunny conditions.

Malenkovich and Leibke both worked their way to the front of the field on the road, and entered the single track in first and second place of the Women's race. Malenkovich attacked the field in the single track and got away to win by about two minutes. About a quarter of the way through the race, Leibke (who was riding in second place of the women's race) was involved in a pile up on a hill with some riders from the mens race, causing her chain to become wrapped up in her bike. By the time Leibke could get her bike going again she was near the back of the field, but rode hard to work her way back up into third place in the women's race.
