Team Dogfish report
Kyia Malenkovich and team-mate Stephanie Leibke both took part in the State Championship Finals Short Track where they raced against the pro/expert men. Kyia moved up in the field early in the race riding about 2/3 of the way back in the men's field. Stephanie followed Kyia's wheel and held her own for the first half of the race. At about the half way point in the 20 minute race Kyia slipped away from team-mate Stephanie on the major climb of the course, and finished in first place about 50 seconds ahead of teammate Stephanie who took second.

Team Dogfish report
The team awoke to a fresh dump of rain for the cross country which added some serious difficulty to the already challenging xc course. The majority of the loop was extremely wet for the race making the going very slow. Competitor Sara Kylander-Johnson took off hard from the gun and tried to put a gap on Kyia and Stephanie coming off the line. Kyia pulled Sara back in the first 45 seconds of the race and thereafter made an attack into the first section of singletrack drops where she showed that knowing how to cyclocross well is a distinct advantage in the mud. Kyia then rode away from Sara in the singletrack amassing a 3:45 lead over the rest of the muddy and slow course. Meanwhile Stephanie had some bad luck and snapped off her chain on the first doubletrack climb of the course and was unable to finish.
