Estonian MTB specialist Kukk attacked with Larsson after 10 laps. The Estonian showed at the intermediate sprints what was coming. Larsson tried to get away before the final sprint but in vain.

In the 'oldboys event Magnusson and Andersson got away towards the end with Magnusson showing that he still is the best sprinter of the two. Per Christianson was working hard in pursuit. The oldest of the boys, Sven ke Nilsson in his Tour de France mountains jersey, hung in there for seven laps but had to give in on the last.

"Seven laps were OK but the final was hell," was the old climber's comment.
