Shriver takes collegiate title

After a crowd pleasing one lap contest for the unicyclists, the Collegiate Men took to the course and Fort Lewis College rider Matt Shriver was able to move up one notch from last year's second place result to take the crown ahead of Troy Heithecker (Washington State). After a few laps of attacks and counter attacks, Shriver was able to get a gap on Heitheker only to crash in a mud puddle and be totally submerged with water over his head. After chasing back on he found the energy to attack again and stay away for the win.

Shriver's win contributed to Fort Lewis College's overall Omnium title.
