Abel & Kerlin take women's categories

Using it as a warm up for the Sunday's elite race, Sarah Kerlin (Velo Bella) took the women's 30-34 victory in a close race against former Saturn Soigneur Maureen Bruno Roy despite a last lap tangle of Kerlin's handlebar and Bruno Roy's rear wheel.
Margell Abel came back froma taking a year off to have a child to win her second National title in the women 35-39 class, her first title coming in the 30-34 race in Kansas City, 2000. She attributed some of her power to pulling a 50 pound child trailer. "It's kind of like riding through a mud bog all the time."
