In the Elite Men's race, Russell Stevenson (Bianchi) rode off early, got a gap before the first set of double barriers/run up, then drilled it to win his second race in a row. Stevenson was chased by Troy Helthecker (Recycled Cycles) and Mark Hansen (Bianchi), who in turn were chased by Eric Atwood who got caught by a larger chase group of Loren Hansen (Bianchi), Rich McClung (Broadmark Capital), Matt Hill (TiCycles) and others.
Kenny Williams (Redline) worked his way up from the Masters race and through the elite men to get into this chase group from the elite race. Kenny won the masters, Troy Helthecker got second beating Mark Hansen who got third. Rich McClung (Broadmark Capital) won the sprint for fourth with Loren hansen getting fifth.
