Results & reports from the USAPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Wisconsin State Cyclocross ChampionshipsWisconsin, USA, November 14, 2004Unusually dry & warm weather was not what everyone was expecting or hoping for at the 2004 Wisconsin State Cyclocross Championships. A record number of racers, including many from Minnesota and Illinois, proved the popularity of the event, which was held for the second year at the Angell Park Motor Speedway. Racers and screaming fans alike were thrilled and impressed with the course designer's use of the expansive Speedway grounds. Each fast 5 minute lap included one lap around the 1/3 mile clay oval race-track, with many loose gravel corners, a "hairy" descent, technical off-camber sections and a 40 meter long run up. Notables from the days racing included, Bjorn Selander's double Gold victories in the Junior and Men's "B" races and the Men's Elite race, where PCW teammates Tristin Schouten and Brian Matter took off early, leaving everyone to chase and battle for Bronze.
