- Chris Gallup and Charles Morris (Universal Cycle) in a Celo Pacific jersey had built up enough of a lead on the first lap that they had time to keep their feet dry as they raced through the mud (Men's 40+).

- After a tough climb the course dropped down a step fire rode, which didn't cause Brian Keate (Velocity) any problems.
- Jeff Herring (Kelly Bike Company) on the second of 2 run ups on the course (Elite Men).
- Dan Breyer (Bike 101) race two races back to back and the climb started to hurt on during the second race (Elite Men).
- Brent Prenzlow (Celo Pacific) rode a strong race and took first place going away (Elite Men).
- Thad Sparrow (Celo pacific) bunny hopping the double barriers (Elite Men).
- Emilio Cervantes (Excel Sports) rode well for second place in the elite men's race.
- Thad Sparrow (Celo Pacific) takes off for big air in the rock garden section of the course (Elite Men).
