Sintofarm lose control, Bespalov new leader

Yesterday's stage of the Giro delle Regione was the longest of the tour, and with 3 category 2 climbs it was not an easy day. The team of the leader, Sintofarm, controlled the race for most of the day but were unable to maintain control in the final kilometers. For us Gene Bates impressed by jumping across to a 10 man break just before the final cat 2 climb but the effort told when the pressure went on over the climb and he was dropped back to the main group coming hard behind. 2 riders, Gianluca Colletta (Resine Ragnoli) and Alexandr Bespalov (Russia) attacked this group and stayed away to win the stage, with the main group splitting up the final climb to the finish.
