61st Vuelta a España - GTSpain, August 26-September 17, 2006Main Page Results Live report Previous Stage Next Stage Stage 4 - August 29: Almendralejo - Cáceres, 142 kmStage 4 is the shortest of the non time trial stages of the Vuelta and is also almost completely flat, so it's odds-on to finish in a big bunch gallop. In theory it is another stage for the fast men although the last the 400 metres are slightly uphill, which favours riders like Valverde and Bettini. Robbie McEwen has showed in the Tour that he is no slouch at uphill finishes either, though. Laurent Jalabert won the stage the last time that the Vuelta visited Cáceres. Stage MapComing!
