Stage 9 - February 5: Menara Kuala Lumpur - Putrajaya, 164.8 km

The penultimate stage will be one of the toughest with three climbs between Menara Telekom and the country's new administrative capital in Putrajaya. Because of the nature of this stage, the climbers who failed to make an impression on the previous day will have the chance to catch up with the leaders. In fact, the Yellow Jersey holder may have a tough time defending his lead here. In addition to the Category One climb at Bukit Hulu Beranang, the riders will also have to contend with two Category Two climbs at Sungai Tekali and Jeram Toi. On their way to the finish line, the riders will cross one of the most beautiful bridges in the country, the Seri Wawasan bridge. The winner of the Tour could well be decided during this stage.
