After few days along the idyllic east coast, the Tour will head inland into the state of Pahang. And as they head towards the interior of the peninsular, the riders will find themselves faced with a difficult Category Three climb at Kampung Olak Batang at the midway point of the stage. The sprinters will have a chance to reel in some points for the Green Jersey at three locations, two before the climb and the other after. This is another stage where the Yellow Jersey could possibly change hands.
