Stage 5 - February 1: Kota Bahru - Kuala Terengganu, 163.9 km

This stage, which will be run over a relatively flat terrain, offers sprinters the chance to dominate and pull away from the rest. Held entirely along the stunning coastal road, the first sprint is at Besut followed by the second at Kampung Penarik just past the 100 kilometre mark. The third and final sprint will be contested at Batu Rakit. This stage will likely end with a mass finish at Istana Maziah in Kuala Terengganu.
