Stage 1 - January 28: Langkawi - Langkawi, 106.9 km

This is the second time this specific route is being used since 1997. The sprint around the picturesque island of Langkawi is basically over flat terrain that takes the cyclists past some of the popular destinations. The first sprint takes place close to the renowned Underwater World. The riders will then make their way towards the ever popular Pantai Cenang and Padang Matsirat, past the legendary Makam Mahsuri and back to the start/finish line at Dataran Marmar in Kuah town.
