32nd Cholet-Pays De Loire - 1.1France, March 22, 20092008 Results Results Past winners Haedo sprints to winJuan José Haedo, Team Saxo Bank's sprinter from Argentina, came in first in the GP Cholet-Loire when he out-sprinted Frenchman Jimmy Casper (Besson Chaussures – Sojasun). Haedo had to take advantage of his teams and the patience to wait long with his surge to the line on a windy day "I am pleased to offer this victory to the team after a strong effort from my teammates," Haedo said after the race. "I had to wait until the very last second to go past and push the bike across the line in front of Casper." The GP of Cholet is held on a very hilly circular route in the western part of France. The race is described as a semi-classic because of its hardness with many short hills and grueling side winds coming in from the west coast. Team Saxo Bank's Danish sports director, Kim Andersen, won the race in 1990, and he was with the team to do the Primavera des Mauges "It was a fantastic race where we were ahead of things and were in several breakaways throughout the race. The race was done at a really high pace and on the last laps in Cholet, we tried to keep the peloton in one group, so JJ was able to sprint to victory," said a happy Andersen after the race.
