Good race for ducks

Under dark skies, with a slight drizzle and on an already soaked and filthy road 18 brave [some may say foolish] souls set out on 'one in , all in' 3 lap race on Saturday. The pace was dictated at most times by a strong and fit Graham Rutter. Neil Midgley and Roger Ocvirk were also in the midst of things and seem certain to get the nod for A grade very soon.

Strong attacks were put down by the recently returned Andrew Rutty who has already cemented himself as a very able B grader. The 'Man in the Money', Jason Johnson, was in cruise mode for most of the laps but easily picked up a podium finish when it all counted. Gavin Drury, Jeff Gray and Peter Cooper kept things rolling swiftly in lap 2, while Dave 'pommie' Russell relished the weather of home and drove along in lap 3.

The finish was easy for Graham Rutter who cruised to victory after escaping from a very wet and dirty bunch. Roger Ocvirk picked up a convincing second with Jason 'Gates' Johnson comfortable in third.
