21st Trophy Porec #1 - 1.2Croatia, March 13, 20052004 Results Results Past winners Summer wins Porec TrophyAustrian Jochen Summer (ELK) has won the Porec Trophy, a 1.2 category race in Croatia. He beat Slovenian Borut Bozic (Perutnina Ptuj) and Czech Frantisek Rabon (PSK Whirlpool) in a three man sprint. The race was run in good spring weather with temperatures of 16� C and little wind. The riders had to cover six laps of a 20 km circuit, plus a little extra for a total of 134 km. The start was calm, but after 70 km, a breakaway of seven riders got clear, including Slovakian champion Martin Riska (PSK Whirlpool). This group had a lead of field 1'30 at most, but after 110 km the field came back to them. Immediately, a counter attack went with Frantisek Rabon (PSK), Borut Bozic (Perutnina Ptuj) and Jochen Summer (ELK), and this group made it to the finish, where Summer won ahead of Bozic and Rabon.
