Transfers and Contracts

- More news about the Espoirs World Champion. Norwegian Television says that he's signed a contract with Asics running until end of year 2001. He will ride for the Asics amateur team next season and turn pro at the end of 1998. (thanks to Arild Finstad)

The Naked Runner has his day in court

Recall our story about the 30-year-old man who ran naked behind the peloton in the sprint finish on the Champs-Elysees in July. He told the court that his aim was to upset Jan Ullrich. The pro-Virenque fan and actor was challenged to do the prank. He was fined 2,000 francs in the Paris court but earned a 5,987 francs lunch at an exclusive French restaurant.

Well here he is!
