90th Tour de France,
July 5-27, 2003
The peloton descends off the Col d'Izoard. To capture
this stunning image, photographer Jeff Tse had to climb the Izoard himself
- on his girlfriend's bike - after being prevented access by car by a gendarme
(French policeman). The spirit of Geo Lefevre, cycling's original hard-man,
lives on!
