Capoforma is a new and stylin' brand of Italian cycling socks and accessories from Upland Sports Group. USG's Gary Vasconi told Cyclingnews that "we wanted a high-quality, high performance Italian cycling sock as a alternative to all of the low quality socks out there. And Capoforma has that Italian style and quality cyclists are looking for." Capoforma's sock line features genuine DuPont Coolmax and Meryl Skinlife, a soft, comfortable new microfibre.

Another cool item from Capoforma is this retro-modern wool jersey, made in 50% merino wool blended with 50% microfibre acrylic for easy care. "We wanted to make a classic wool jersey but with a more modern approach to performance and care," explained USG's Vasconi. "The look is timeless, but the microfibre acrylic adds performance and is faster drying and resists pilling better than a 100% wool jersey."

Bergamo a go-go

USG's Bergamo brand has gotten wide acceptance in a short time, thanks to its Italian style and functionality. The attractive Gavia jersey looks like a sublimated jersey, but close-up, the Gavia is constructed from dual-knit Micro-Quattro fabric with mesh side panels for more air flow and a silicone gel waist-gripper.

Proudly displayed at USG's stand at Interbike were two souvenirs of their DMT shoe brand from sponsored riders Ale-Jet Petacchi and Ivan "The Terrible" Basso. Exclusive importers of the Italian mark, the USG guys had a signed Fassa Bortolo jersey from Petacchi and signed shoes from 2005 Tour de France runner-up Basso.

Cannondale's new Prophet MX

Cannondale's new Rush mountain bike is built with 24-hour and marathon racing in mind. Rush provides 110mm of balanced front and rear travel. Cannondale's Scott Struve told Cyclingnews that "the Rush is light for cross country riding, but it's still a sturdy ride." Made in six models, the Patriot blue Rush 3000 pictured here has a Lefty Speed Carbon fork and FOX Terralogic shock, Shimano XTR components and handy glow-in-the-dark decals for those dark nights on the 24-hour race circuit.

Cedric's speed ride

Downhill monster man Cedric Gracia has collaborated with Cannondale to develop this new pure downhill bike, aptly named 'Gracia'. Cannondale's Scott Struve showed the gravity-defying rig to Cyclingnews at Interbike, saying that "the Gracia is all about precision, speed and strength. It's the perfect bike to go as big as you can, as big as you want."

Gracia has an aluminum frame with Thru-12 swingarm, offering 220mm of travel with a Marzocchi Roco RC coil rear shock and Cannondale's ISCG bottom bracket. Up front, the Marzocchi 888 RC fork has 200mm of travel and for stoppers, Cannondale's Gracia has Magura Gustav M discs for fast stops when you go too big.

Preachin' to the choir

Cannondale's Prophet is a very popular platform for freeriders and their new Prophet MX model was inspired by Cedric Gracia's Four Cross bike. Equipped with Cannondale's Thru-12 swingarm like the Gracia DH bike, Prophet MX has a Fox DHX 5.0 rear shock and Fox 36 Talas 150mm travel front fork. Drivetrain is all SRAM, with the X-O rear changer, Mavic wheels and stoppy Hayes El Camino discs.
