iRULE Ergo shorts

Made from pre-shrunk cotton double drill, the Ergo shorts feature storage areas designed specifically for endurance events, including a bottle holster positioned at the side of the leg. The Ergo shorts come in black/opal blue and black/sand, in sizes XS-XXL.

Unlike some casual-style bike shorts, the Ergos aren't fitted with a built-in liner. Instead, the idea is that you pull them on over Lycra shorts, avoiding funny looks when you wander in to a cafe, but still keeping you bike-comfortable.

Price: NZ$119.00

iRULE Euro wool top

Combining European style with New Zealand wool, the Euro shirt will keep you both warm and dry. The Euro features a tear drop metal zip, and comes in black, although sand, grey, olive or navy are available on request.

The wool used is not your run-of-the-mill sweater fabric, but rather a high-quality New Zealand wool called Merino Extreme. The name may conjure up images of stunt sheep directed by John Woo, but the makers claim Merino Extreme has a high warmth to weight ratio, and helps to move moisture away from the skin. As anyone who has used a traditional wool cycling jersey will testify, wool also has the handy property of keeping you warm even if it gets wet.
