Welcome to New Arrivals, a section showcasing the latest equipment that's landed on the Cyclingnews tech desk. Look out for reviews over the next few months when we've clocked up some saddle time with this stuff.

Specialized BG2 Pro women's

Specialized BG2 Pro MTB women's saddle

If there's one piece of equipment that's utterly critical for female riders to get right it's the saddle. Fortunately saddle makers have realized that - hey! - girls and boys are different, and women now have far more options than just a few years back. Specialized has long made decent women's saddles and this is the latest in the company's Body Geometry line.

The BG2 MTB Pro women's saddle features a pressure-relieving groove and hole for soft-tissue comfort; a flexible hull and titanium rails to keep the weight down to a claimed 320g.

Ultragen

First Endurance Ultragen

A new recovery drink aimed at replacing the nutrients cyclists and other athletes use in training and racing, Ultragen is intended to be used in the 30 minutes immediately after exercise to bolster depleted muscles. One of our testers is currently trying it out, which is a pity as I could have done with some after trying to keep up with a training bunch in Centennial Park last night...

Do Wraps are fabric headbands designed to combat one of the biggest irritations every sportsperson faces in warm weather: getting sweat in your eyes. The Coolmax Skull cap and Coolmax .5 Stubby are made from thin, soft synthetic fabric so they fit snugly under a helmet and assist the often rather minimal brow pad found in lots of modern helmets.
