SRAM unveils Force and Rival road components, USA, April 6, 2006
The mid-level Rival shifters
differ from the top-end Force shifters only in materials used. Aluminium is utilized for both the brake lever and shifter levers as compared to carbon fiber and magnesium, respectively, for Force. The material swap adds 30g but still yields a pair of shifters that tip the scales at only 335g.
