OLYMPIA's TOUR

The veterans and foreigners fought over the daily crumbs, in the final GC it was the boys from Rabobank who ate the cheese rather than the bread. Matthé Pronk showed with his victory in the Olympia's Tour and later in the Ronde van Limburg that he is near to a professional contract.

Giro d'Italia

The elephant, Marco Pantani took control of the Giro d'Italia in the last weeks in the mountains of the Dolomites. But he was even too strong in the final time trial for his closest rival, the Russian Pavel Tonkov. Class!

Mountain Bike

While Bart Brentjens is still struggling, the B-One Dutch MTB riders have been going well. Next to veteran Patrick Tolhoek is Bas van Dooren who this year has shot to the top of international competition. Also in the Grundig MTB World Cup!

Monique Knol and Martin

Last year, the bearded Martin Bruin was criticised when, together with his fellow jury members disqualified Bart Voskamp and Jens Heppner in the Tour de France. Still, he has been appointed as the President of the Jury for this year's Tour. Monique Knol met him at the Holland Casino, his daily workplace.

The Bike

During the Tour of Belgium for the Visually Handicapped, our technical staff member Bart de Schampheleire followed the tandem pair of Jan Mulder and Pascal Schoots. He presents a lovely portrait of the Cannondale and its happy riders.
