From Woerden to Den Haag. Cycling seems set to remain a part of Parliamentary Den Haag even though the President of the VVBW Henk Vos (PvdA) is to retire. His place seems likely to be taken by the KNWU President Joop Atsma (CDA) after the May 6 elections. Monique Knol spoke to Joop Atsma about his program.

FAMILY TIES - Dirk and Bjorn Nachtergaele from Belgium
He was the champion of masseurs. Dirk Nachtergaele was at Panasonic with Vanderaerden and Anderson but in recent years he was at the successful Mapei team and he massaged the fine muscles of Johan Museeuw. Bart de Schampheleire spoke with him and his cycling son Bjorn.

WORLD CUP 1998 - Orange optimism

Mapei has had success with Museeuw and Ballerini in the cobbled-classics and Bartoli won in the Ardennes. But not so far behind them were the young Dutch professionals (Boogerd, Den Bakker, Van Bon, Knaven). In April the orange-sun was at last shining.
