Brydekirk, Annan, Scotland, May 16, 2002

Round two of the Solway APR handicap league was held in perfect conditions over 3 laps of the popular Brydekirk course in South West Scotland. The large scratch group organised a determined chase and the race came together soon after half distance. Mountain biker Steve Martin tried everything to get clear on the last climb of the appropriately named "repentance hill", but to no avail. The bunch sprint was taken by TLI Espoirs National Champion, Neil Withington by a tyre's width from Simon Mackereth with Glamorous Grandad, Dennis Anderson, taking third spot.
