Bill Hyland MemorialClonmel, Co. Tipperary, April 20, 2002By Tommy Campbell, Irish Independent, Evening Herald, Sunday Independent Since the start of the season the tunics of the team were very much in evidence as they collected trophies on a regular basis. Last Sunday they were relegated to the minor placings, but Paul Lonergan manager of the team was not in the least perturbed. Yesterday the critics were answered in clear tones when Martin O'Loughlin was back to winning ways. In a tough event held in the Co. Tipperary town, there was no let-up for the fainthearted who realised they were in one tough encounter as the Cidona lads in full flow. Early on Martin laid down a marker, which was the rule of thumb for a race held to commemorate one of the genial giants of the 1960's. With a lap and a half to go the school teacher moved ahead to record yet another victory for the club who now have there sights set firmly on next weeks Shay Elliott trophy in the Wicklow mountains.
