The predicted tough day today turned out to be just that. The stage started along the coast for 50km and turned to the hills to cross a cat 1 climb then a cat 2 and a final climb of another cat 1. The boys worked well to help Caleb Manion to be at the business end of the bunch over the first of the Cat 1 climbs and he got to the last climb of the day in the front group of about 25 riders. The field split to bits on the steep ascent of Monte Beigua and Caleb ran 14th and is now in 14th position on the gc. The stage was won by Slovenian rider, Kristjan Fajt, who now also leads the tour.
