PreviewDespite the threat of war looming in the Gulf, the second edition of the Tour of Qatar will go ahead as planned, with the opening 90 km stage starting and finishing in the capital Doha on January 31. The remaining four stages take the riders in various directions over the rest of the peninsula, each time finishing in Doha. The main obstacle that will have to be faced is the wind, rather than any kind of hill. 120 riders from 15 teams will contest the five day, UCI 2.3 event, which has 106,810 euros in prize money.
