Australian Team Report

The last stage of Regioni was one for the sprinters. It was over 146km and flat all day. The race was controlled from the start by about three teams including that of the leader. On the final 7 km circuit, to be covered twice, the Aussies got together to try to launch Aaron Kemps over the line. Lee Godfrey attacked with a French and Italian rider on the circuit and held a slender lead until 2 km to go when the rest of the team took over with Aaron crossing for his first European win and our first for the season.
