Russell Van Hout wins prologue

Maestro-Nella's Russell Van Hout has won the prologue of the Tour of Hellas in Athens. The 27 year old Australian covered the 2.5km course in 2 minutes 48 seconds, just 1 second in front of Greek time trial specialist Yiannis Tamouridis, and 3 seconds ahead of Austrian Jochen Summer. Last year's winner Frazer McMaster (NZl) finished 24th, fourteen seconds behind.

Tomorrow the first stage will start from Panathinaikon Stadium (the stadium where the first Olympic Games in 1896 were organised), and will finish in Distomon City, Central Greece, covering 152km.
