Boogerd best of the beach boys

By JoŃo Cravo

The Dutch rider Michael Boogerd (Rabobank) has beaten Paolo Bettini (Mapei) at the 86.7 km long Amstel Curašao Race held today at the Caribbean island of Curašao. Seventy was the number of riders that decided to ride a bike between two dives in the Caribbean Sea, among whom were Andrea Tafi and Davide Bramati (Mapei), Jacob Piil (CSC) and Igor Astarloa (Saeco) as well as Boogerd and Bettini. Not a bad bunch of beach boys.
