1st Amstel Curaçao Race - NECuraçao, November 3, 2002Boogerd best of the beach boysBy João Cravo The Dutch rider Michael Boogerd (Rabobank) has beaten Paolo Bettini (Mapei) at the 86.7 km long Amstel Curaçao Race held today at the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Seventy was the number of riders that decided to ride a bike between two dives in the Caribbean Sea, among whom were Andrea Tafi and Davide Bramati (Mapei), Jacob Piil (CSC) and Igor Astarloa (Saeco) as well as Boogerd and Bettini. Not a bad bunch of beach boys.
