Australian team report

This stage was always going to be the Queen stage, starting at 2,100 meters and climbing to 3,800 meters before descending back to about 2,400 meters before an uphill finish. It certainly didn't disappoint with the GC changing and riders being scattered all over the road. American Tom Danielson took the stage and the leaders jersey with Aussie Glen Chadwick running 2nd and taking 2nd on the GC. Our best was Adrian Laidler who ran 15th after having a quiet tour until now. The crowd at the finish was unbelievable, almost mobbing the riders.
