Criteriums are all about cornering,
and this tight, P shaped track gave the riders many reminders of that
-
A new definition of cruelty:
holding a race on a street full of cafes, and not letting the riders stop for a feed zone.
-
With the race in the bag,
Hayden Roulston turned super-domestique for team mate Greg Henderson
-
Gordon McCauley
is always a study in the art of the race face: he held this one for lap...
-
...after lap...
-
...after lap.
-
KOM Urquhart
found today's dead flat course hard going, and was lapped about half way through the race
-
Roulston continued
to put in laps on the front throughout the race
-
A large bunch formed
by about quarter distance, and lasted for about half the race until the leaders caught and eliminated them.
-
Roulston's race face
was quite a contrast from the McCauley approach.
-
Greg Henderson
looked ominously comfortable sitting on in the lead group throughout the race
-
The peloton
gets the three lap board, South Australia Institute of Sport leading them through
-
The bell lap
and Henderson is perfectly placed, third in line.
-
Henderson capped off
a great race for the Subway team, with a clinically executed final sprint
