Stage 1 - February 20: Sausalito to Santa Rosa, 129.1km

The first stage begins across the San Francisco Bay in Marin, and is the second shortest at 129.1km -- letting the early season legs adapt to stage racing. The course winds North up the Pacific Coast Highway through some initial rolling climbs that Norcal locals will know well. The first sprint competition comes after the race travels through the Point Reyes National Seashore, and then into Sonoma where the finish in Santa Rosa will see three 5km laps of a technical circuit.
