Tour of Britain - 2.1Great Britain, August 29-September 3, 2006Main Page Results Previous Stage Stage 6 - September 3: Greenwich to The Mall, 82kmThe final British chapter. Its more of a challenge for the police, marshals and organisers as the bunch heads up to the first sprint at Tower Bridge using the rolling road closure system. The race heads past the Houses of Parliament and onto the leafy suburbs of Highgate and Hampstead then back South to Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner. There will be no changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace with the big teams likely controlling the race as it starts the first of 20 laps around St James Park. This stage is one for the sprinters.
