Stage 3 - Wednesday, March 9: Thiers - Craponne-sur-Arzon, 118 km

The serious racing starts today with the third stage between Thiers and Craponne-sur-Arzon (it was to have finished at Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, but weather conditions forced a change). Raced over 118 km, this stage features the first Cat. 1 climb of the race, the Cote de Lavet (km 77.5, 8.7 km at 4.7%). The riders will reach Craponne for the first time after 82 km, before doing a 35 km finishing circuit.
