Stage 5: Saturday Jan 24, Willunga - Willunga , 147 km

Live report    Results & report    Previous stage    Next stage

11am – approx 2.44pm
Saturday 24 January

This popular beach-and-vine circuit around Willunga, Aldinga, Pt Willunga and McLaren Vale returns in 2004. Fans who line up along the Snapper Point SA Lotteries Sprint line (on The Esplanade near Butterworth St) will have plenty to keep them entertained as the last race of the National Women’s Criterium Series is conducted between Jacob’s Creek Tour Down Under laps 1 and 2.

This circuit traditionally features the winning Best Dressed Town entrants, so it’s worth doing a lap of the course just to see the displays.

The last lap takes in Willunga Hill for the only Laubman & Pank King of the Mountain points that day.

With the start, finish and a feed station in Willunga, the town will be abuzz with activity, parades, live music, demonstrations and much more – before, during and after the race.
