Stage One: Macon-Macon / 132KM

Starting from Macon, birthplace of ur-rocker Little Richard, Stage One is a flat, out and back loop east of town through the green, verdant heart of Georgia. With a mid-stage time bonus sprint halfway in Millidgeville, three tough 3.4km finishing circuits back in Macon and a 10" time bonus for the winner, Cipo's Domina Vacanze team will try and deliver the great sprinter to the line and grab the first leaders jersey for Super Mario. Look out for surprises from Navigator's Kirk O'Bee, who's had a most excellent spring campaign in Europe this spring.
