Second crown for Team Krone's sprinter

Team Krone has claimed its second victory in three days: after opening his professional record book in the Classic Loire-Atlantique on Saturday, former Norwegian National champion Rune Jogert doubled up in the first stage of the Tour de Normandie a few meters away from the casino of Forges-les-Eaux - the nearest from Paris.
Jogert, 25, is a sprinter in the making. But he doesn't mind getting in breakaways as well. Once the first attackers - Christophe Thébault, Bogdan Bondariew, Sylvain Anquetil and Vladimir Sidorenkov - got caught despite their nine minute advantage before the Mapei young team began to chase, another move was formed with 11 riders: three from Bonjour, Olivier Perraudeau, Jérôme Pineau and Frédéric Mainguenaud, plus Normandy's local Benoît Legrix, BigMat's Niels Brouzes, Jorgen Bo Petersen of Fakta, Russian Andrei Pchelkin, Croatian Radoslav Rogina, Frederic Delalande from Jean Floc'h, Jogert and the runner-up in the opening time trial Raimondas Vilcinskas from Mroz. But no one from Mapei.
In fact, race leader Pozzato had a flat when the gap was getting thinner. "And two of our guys - Aurelien Clerc and Graziano Gasparre - were kind of sick," Pozzato explained. "With a team of only six riders, we couldn't control the whole race."
Jogert was smart against three Bonjour, representing the only division 1 team taking part in the Tour de Normandie. "In the final lap, I just sat on wheels," he said. "I didn't care about the attacks. I have the feeling that some of the riders knew that I was a sprinter because the started looking back at me after the last curve, but that was too late, I already had the speed on."
Jogert made his effort from more than 200 meters to the line and won easily.
"This is unbelievable, team director Oyvind Lillehagen reacted. I'm ready to sign now for a win every third day until the end of the season!"
Team Krone is a brand new team. It's the first professional team from Norway ever and they're having a great start. Jogert won as the team was visited by the two managers behind the organisation: Birger Hungerholdt from Sponsorservice who is the money backer for many Norwegian athletes as well as the organizer of the Ringerike Grand Prix (1-5 May) and Johann Kaggestad, father of Mads who is one the very promising riders in the team and personal trainer for different sportsmen as well as a TV commentator for any sport.
Jogert won on the same finishing line of Forges-les-Eaux as his compatriot and friend Thor Hushovd one year before. Hushovd, originally from the same Ringerike Sykkel Klub as the Team Krone riders, claimed the overall in the Tour of Normandy last year. His successor is actually ranked fourth. The new leader is Raimondas Vilcinskas, a Lithuanian from the Polish MROZ squad.
