PrestigeVC.com/Viner/MAR Support Services Eelmore Circuit Race

June 23, 2004

The weather obviously put people off travelling, and it was the mad few that turned up who reaped the benefit of some harder, faster racing on the smaller top circuit. With a stinging headwind that made riding into it like ascending the Alpe d'Huez, riders battled round until head became tail and speeds of 40mph+ were seen... until the bottom corner that is, when screeching brake blocks were the order of the day into the tight chicane corner.

In the 3/4 race. Lewis Atkins and James Boyman - the youngest two riding on the night - took it to the rest and rode away, with Lewis easily beating James in the sprint. In the E/1/2 it all stayed together with everyone watching Lee Day, however he was still too strong in the bunch sprint, although fast improving Lee Smith did push him hard across the line.

Wed 30th June - same format - top circuit, see last weeks report and results for details! Guildford next week, so you know you need the practice!
