Fort St. John, BC, May 7, 2006

Robin Baillie (HR Block/Blizzard) shattered a 20 year old record time, Sunday, and winning the Blizzard Trophy with a time of 34:02 minutes. Stephen Ferris was second at 35:19 and Pat Ferris third at 39:35.

Lisa Verbisky won the Phoenix Trophy for Women with 47:16 and Colter Young won the under 19 trophy with 48:42.

Conditions were tough and windy for the nineteen riders on the hilly Montney 15 Mile circuit. Ready to fall was the course record time of 35:17 minutes set by Pat Ferris way back in 1986.

Robin Baillie beat the course record by 1:15 minutes. Stephen Ferris was only 2 off the record as well, finishing with a time of 35:19. 12-time past winner Pat Ferris came in with 39:35 and Roger St. Jean 4th at 40:34. Sam Keats was 5th at 45:12. Dean Lowry did 45:59, Gord Harris 47:26, Kevin Cooper 47:43, Steve Sparling 48:40 and Ken Nix 49:36.

Five–time past Phoenix Trophy winner Lisa Verbisky won the Women’s with 47:16. Barb Polehoykie was second at 48:24, Dayna Stickel was 3rd at 51:40, 2005 winner Jolea Bilodeau was 4th at 52:08, and Suzi Bach 5th at 58:27.

Coulter Young won the Under 19 with 48:42.

Kendra Young won the ten km with 25:39 and Floyd Polehoykie second at 26:22. Estelle Nix did 23:43 for 8 km.
