Jolea Bilodeau leads the zone eight cycling squad with two medals at this weekend’s BC Summer Games in Kamloops. She brought home silver from Sunday’s time trial and a bronze from Saturday’s road race. Kolton Chapman of Dawson Creek won a silver medal in the road race, Saturday, as well. Their finishes were: Friday Mountain bike race, Girls, Jolea Bilodeau sixth, Dayna Stickel eighth. Boys: Kolton Chapman (DC) 9th and Colter Young 12th.

Saturday road race: Girls: Jolea Bilodeau bronze, Dayna Stickel 7th. Boys: Kolton Chapman (DC) silver, Colter Young 14th.

Sunday time trial: Girls: Jolea Bilodeau silver, Dayna Stickel 7th. Boys: Kolton Chapman 8th and Colter Young 10th.

Blizzard riders have won 42 BC Games medals since they started sending riders back in 1983. Locally, Pat Ferris won the 40 km Cecil Lake 40 km time trial, with a time of 1:06:28. Owen Giebelhaus was second at 1:19:07. Bob Andrews had a flat tire and could not continue. Calvin Bell did a 41:24 in the 20 km distance and Tania Bell had 41:29.
