Seven Blizzard riders went to Grande Prairie, this Sunday, for the Challenge Cup #6, mountain bike race. The locals lost the day, 30 to GP’s 65. The Blizzards do hold a commanding lead of 339 points to GP’s 215 and Dawson Creek’s 157.
Top Blizzard rider was Roger St. Jean in 5th for the 4 lap event, with a time of 1:58:93 hours. Pat Ferris was 7th at 2:15:10 hours. The event was won by GP’s Peter Watson with a time of 1:26:45.
Colter Young (B) won the 3 lap with 1:32:30. Tessa Bilodeau won the 1 lap with 34:55, Marie Young was second at 43:25 and Jolea Bilodeau picked up 4th place.
Eighteen riders came out to ride an excellent course under hot conditions.
