Glenaroua Fire Station - Saturday, October 21, 2006

Twenty riders contested Saturday's 44 kilometre handicap event raced on the Glenaroua-Sugarloaf course - starting and finishing at the Glenaroua Firestation.

The 10-minute handicap group of John Burgess, Duncan Arendse, Wayne Flint, Brett Bender and Glen Jacobs reached the lead at the Sugarloaf Creek bridge and held off the chasing groups to the finish. Scratch rider, Silas Fisher left his co-markers with just 4 km to ride and put in a great lone chase to get within 50 metres of the leaders.

Speed sprinter, Brett bender took line honors from John Burgess with Duncan Arendse just holding out Silas Fisher for third place.
