First victory for Suckling

In her return to racing after a short break Sharon Suckling has taken her first win in the Hay Street Chiropractic Women's Criterium Series. Sharon has featured in the placing's in both of the previous races but this week managed to crack the win, moving up to 3rd in the General Classification.

The dash for the line was interrupted some what when Amy Kirk appearing to have pulled her foot crashed in the middle of the bunch, although no others fell there was some split second changes in direction to avoid hitting Amy and the high kerbing lining the street. Amy was up and walking (with a smile) with no serious injuries aside from some cuts and bruises.

With Amy out of the placings in this round Rachel Sherborne picked up enough points with her second place to level Amy's 60points on the General Classification and take the yellow jersey on a count back.

The remaining race in the series is the final, at Victoria Park, 4th January, Presented by Perth Criterium Series
