Neo-pro Shpilevsky takes first

Neo-Professional Boris Shpilevsky has taken his first win with the 21st Firenze-Pistoia time trial. Riding for Continental Team Kie-Ene-DMT, the 25 year-old Russian bettered noted crono-man Italian Dario Cioni (Predictor-Lotto) and Italian Road Champion Giovanni Visconti (Quick.Step - Innergetic). World Champion Paolo Bettini (Quick.Step - Innergetic) finished in sixth in the final race of the Italian road season.

Shpilevsky's other notable placing came earlier this year in the Giro di Toscana – he finished third behind Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas).
