Today's stage was from Asola to Parma, with the first 95km being flat and two tough climbs to cross before the finish in Parma.

The pace was again furious with attack after attack - like every day so far. Again one group eventually got clear, but was picked up by a group coming off the main group on the last climb. For us, Ben Johnson and Dave McPartland made it to the front group but Dave lost contact on the last climb. Davide Silvestri from Parolin Bassano won the stage with del Puppo continuing to hold his lead.
