Teutenberg wins yet another criterium

Ina Teutenberg (Saturn) won the final stage of The International today after the race was shortened due to a huge thunderstorm riddled with lightning and strong winds. The race organizers decided to cut the race in half, suddenly calling one lap to go mid race. Teutenberg won the sprint to take her second stage win of the tour.
The race began at high speeds as Saturn kept a high tempo to keep the race together and safe for the yellow jersey, Lyne Bessette. Rona also wanted to keep the race under control so that Magali Le Floch could go for time bonus sprints. The last corner coming into the finishing straight was becoming treacherous and was the scene of many a crash. After 17 laps of the race, it was announced that there would be only one lap to go.
Teutenberg won the sprint ahead of Genevieve Jeanson (Rona-Esker), Bessette and Laura Van Gilder (Saturn). Bessette held onto her lead to win her second International/Tour de Toona with Jeanson taking second place. Tina Mayolo-Pic (Diet Rite) held onto the sprint jersey by one point and Jeanson went away with the Mountains jersey. Rona also won the team classification.
